Great foor guitar tube amplifiers,

and great for high efficiency home audio with single ended amplifiers.

This pair was removed from organ tone cabinet from long time storage 40 years ago, and stored in boxes with a big collection of these P15N's.

The tone cabinet looked like new condition, and is possible these speakers were not used much.

Very hard to find P15N's in this nice condition nowadays, or find any at all.

All original cones, and no repairs.

These were both were wired in parallel, in the same cabinet that they were originally in from the very beginning, so both speakers were played exactly the same, so they both are a perfect usage match.

Both speakers have been sound tested, and sounding nice and clean.

The cones are very clean, and in excellent condition, see photos for condition.

The P15N is a very light cone, wide range speaker, with fast dynamic bass and midbsss, with a high frequency response out to 5Khz, with high efficiency to work great with tube amplifiers.

This pair has the magnet covers.

The high efficiency, speed, dynamics, and beautiful tones are achieved with very low mass of the cone, surround, spider, and voice coil.

In addition, a nice size alnico magnet is used to drive the light mass, to achieve a good high frequency response, speed, and dynamics.

This is because the speaker is not made for very high power handling, but enough power handling to output high energy with the high efficiency design.

The smooth cone, and single roll surround  (original version) is the best for clear midrange. The later design of the early 60's, was changed to ribbed cones, which increased the bass output efficiency a little, but blurred (muffled) the midrange tones.

Higher power speakers have more weight of the whole moving structure, which decreases efficiency, speed, dynamics, tone, sound quality, detail, and upper frequency response.

These are very suitable for use for home audio on single ended tube amplifiers, and tube guitar amplifiers.

You can make a very nice sounding 2 way speaker system for your home audio system.

Just add a good quality paper cone tweeter, crossover point at 3-5khz, and use a 8-10 cubic ft vented enclosure for good bass response.

The P15N also can work very well in bass and mid-bass horn cabinets.
