In addition, there is subtle lacquer checking near the control knobs that is visible only under certain lighting conditions. The frets show minor wear. The guitar plays cleanly up and down the neck with comfortable action, excellent intonation, and no buzzing or functional issues. The original pickups deliver the articulate, airy tone for which the ES-336 is known, and all electronics operate exactly as they should.
