I bought this guitar with a repaired headstock for its’ Electra parts, which I’ve removed.
The guitar played extremely well and was otherwise in very good shape so I put in new pots and wiring (Les Paul style) with pretty hot Ibanez pickups (8.92 and 13.04 kOhms). The guitar growls really nicely at full volume but backs off well as the volume goes down.
This is a late 70s model – somewhere between 1977 and 1981. Repair is solid and stable. There are some play marks and swirls and there is one ding on the top, behind the tailpiece (see pics), but no other damage beyond the headstock. Frets have only a bit of wear and plenty of life left.Weight is 9 lbs. 0 oz.
If you are looking for a nice playing and sounding vintage Japanese guitar at a serious discount, this is the one for you.
Comes in a padded gig bag.
