GIBSON ‘50s WIRING

The wiring has been upgraded to the Gibson 1950s Wiring, which is usually reserved for only Gibson’s most expensive Les Pauls. Once you hear it, you'll understand why. Pickups guru Lindy Fralin does a nice job of explaining Gibson’s 50s wiring: Gibson's ’50s Wiring involves how the tone cap is wired into the guitar. There are many ways to wire a Tone Cap, but, without getting too technical, the way the tone cap connects between your pots actually changes how your Volume Pots and Tone Pots interact with each other. The essence of the ‘50s wiring involves connecting the cap to the output of the pot instead of to the input. It makes the Volume and Tone controls more interactive, and more treble is retained when you roll the volume back.

GIBSON PURE NICKEL STRINGS

Gibson Pure Nickel strings are premium, vintage-voiced designed to replicate the warm, smooth, and articulate tones of 1950s electric guitars. Developed alongside Les Paul himself, these feature pure nickel wrap and are designed for optimal warmth and punch. They are the factory specification for all Gibson Custom Shop instruments.

• Material & Construction: Wound with pure nickel over a high-quality round steel core, these strings deliver an authentic "Golden Era" tone characterized by a robust midrange and smooth highs.
• Playing Feel: Pure nickel is naturally softer than traditional nickel-plated steel. This results in lower string tension, a "slinkier" and more bendable feel, and less wear on your fretwire.

ORANGE DROP CAPACITOR

Like on Slash’s signature Les Paul, the Orange Drop Capacitor gives superior tone and clarity through the Tone Control’s range. Dial in the warmth for your signature tone!

SWITCHCRAFT OUTPUT JACK

To keep your signal pure and clear, the Switchcraft Output Jack is what the pros use for maximum purity as it stands up to high use on stage and in the studio. Plug in and rock out!

NECK

The nut was lubricated with Rene' Martinez GraphItAll, which makes for easier bends and staying in tune. Also, the fretboard was conditioned with Gerlitz Guitar Honey. The truss rod was checked for proper operation, and the neck has the proper amount of relief for ease of play and clarity throughout the frets.
