This is a fantastic original 60-watt Mesa Boogie Mark IIB 1x12 combo just as it sits, but a recent FX loop mod by Mike Bendinelli (making it what many call a "Mark IIB+") has put it totally over the top.

Not only does the loop work beautifully for a range of time and modulation effects now, but the Lead channel is a little tighter and smoother — ie much closer to the acclaimed IIC+ lead tone — and the loop post Level control acts as yet another Master Volume that you can use to dial the final output level to suit the room you're playing in. As such, I've used it in attic rehearsals and small club gigs with great results, but it's just not the kind of amp I normally play with my current working band (original electric-Americana) and it would be a luxury to keep it without regularly gigging it.

In every other way the amp is in VG+ condition, with just a few minor scuffs and only one real Tolex tear on the front-bottom edge of the cab, and perfect functionality electronically. It's the basic 60W model, no reverb, no graphic, but I've always preferred this bare-bones approach in a IIB anyway. It carries a pair of fresh matched JJ 6L6s rated for Boogies and good/fresh preamp tubes throughout.

The original speaker got destroyed in shipping but I have a Jensen Jet Tornado Neo in it now, which is a speaker I really like in these. It takes several pounds off the weight making the combo very manageable, and sounds great with this circuit both clean and overdriven. If you'd rather buy it without a speaker we can discuss that option too.

Includes a padded LeCover amp cover and a non-standard Korg single-button footswitch for clean/lead that works great, but more accurate replacements are easily available.
