Up for sale is a rare, studio-grade Dolby Model 422 Reference B/C/S Noise Reduction Encoder/Decoder unit. This is a highly sought-after 4-channel reference tool, ideal for high-end analog tape archiving, mastering, and restoration projects.

Unlike consumer-grade hardware, the Model 422 is an absolute engineering masterpiece, providing professional calibration and multi-type processing (including the highly desirable Dolby S-type format). Internally, the unit is entirely pristine, featuring the classic green board layout, high-grade components, and original Sony CXA1415G daughter cards intact.

### Condition: Excellent

* Functionality: 100% fully operational. All channels, front panel toggle buttons (Set-up, Bypass, NR in), and status/peak indicator LEDs function flawlessly.

* Cosmetics: Mechanically and visually in excellent vintage condition. The brushed anodized faceplate is exceptionally clean, and the white lettering remains sharp and crisp.

* Note on Rack Wear: As is perfectly standard for classic 1U rackmount studio gear, there is minor, expected paint wear/rubbing around the mounting holes on the rack ears from normal screw clamping (visible in photos). The rest of the chassis top and sides are clean and intact.
