The guitar has been tested and confirmed to be fully functional.

The CASIO EG-5 is a highly unique and increasingly rare electric guitar released in the 1980s. Nicknamed “Eleking,” it features a built-in cassette recorder, speaker, amplifier, and distortion circuit integrated directly into the body. In recent years, this model has attracted renewed attention through use by artists and collectors.

Maintenance performed:
• Replaced cassette deck drive belt
• Internal cleaning completed
• Removed deteriorated internal foam
• Added silicone tubing to protect internal wiring
• Modified to operate using a single 9V battery

Fully working examples from this era are becoming increasingly difficult to find, and units with internal maintenance completed are especially uncommon.

Cosmetically, considering its age, the guitar remains in very good condition.

Suitable both as a collector’s item and for actual playing and recording use.

As this is a vintage item, there may be minor scratches, signs of age, and normal wear. It is currently functioning properly; however, due to its age, this item is sold as-is. No returns accepted.
