1966 fender stratocaster
-bought locally. Seller was reputable and showed me proof that guitar was purchased from a vintage dealer from Europe.
- pickups are period correct and orginal. black baseplate looks hand crafted and true to period. Hard to find a full black set on a 1966.
-3 way changed to 5 way. no original switch. tremb bar not original as well.
-Entire wiring with Yellow blue wiring very hard to replicate these days. Original
-Pots date to late 1966.
-finishing had some peeling. Dealer said finish was not refinished. Perhaps some polishing was done but otherwise original. Look at the red spray, it stops under the pickguard, in line with spraying at that time to save cost.
- otherwise beautiful checking and wear across the guitar. Original neck with original frets.
- period correct hardcase, think its original but you never know.
-only reason for selling : frets are still original and quite low for my liking.
