2014 Gretsch 6136 SLBP Brian Setzer Black Phoenix
This Falcon style hollowbody is IMHO the best Gretsch made for a number of reasons:
- The single toggle switch (very easy to get to while playing)
- Simple volume control paired with amazing TV-Jones Setzer Spec'd pick-ups that do both the low, high, and blended tones to perfection
- The long scale neck gives it a special twang and growl that is unique
- The laminated top sheet with '59 Trestle bracing nearly eliminates feedback
As for my Phoenix. I love this guitar. Lacquer finish looks amazing. A little bit of yellowing to the Silver Sparkler binding that looks really cool.
Get this rare bird and release the Phoenix from within!!!
