This made in Japan Fender PJ-40 Jazz Bass Special plays and sounds great! This bass has a very sleek appearance and provides the best of both worlds for those seeking a PJ pickup configuration. The tone woods include a basswood body, a comfortable "C" shape maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. The controls include two volume and a master tone. 

This bass is in nice shape for its age at over 35 years old! It does show normal cosmetic wear for its age that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout the body with additional minor dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The hardware and pickups also show patina consistent with age and there's a large sticker located on the back of the body. The neck is straight with plenty of room for the truss rod to turn in both directions and the frets still have plenty of life. The electronics function as they should. 

One of the saddle screws has been replaced, otherwise this bass appears to be all original.

This bass comes freshly set up with D'addario EXL170 (45-100) Roundwound strings.
