This is a Paul Reed Smith McCarty Rosewood that was given to me new in 2003, and has been well maintained and mostly case-kept. A one-piece neck of solid, unlacquered Indian rosewood (I originally called it Brazilian, but it is actually Indian rosewood) sets this particular guitar apart from the rest of the McCarty pack. Smooth and buttery, the neck is in pristine condition with no nicks and 90% fret height remaining. The figuring on the maple top is quite beautiful—it’s not a 10 Top, but I’d give it at least an eight and a half. The back is remarkably clean with no belt buckle scuffs and only a small scratch at the edge of the cavity cover; a nick in the maple top and a scuff by the jackplate are the only apparent damage and are photographed up-close. The nickel hardware is also very clean, aside from some oxidation on the pickup covers also visible in the photos.
One owner. Original hardshell case with original tag, bridge and truss rod wrenches, and case candy.
