The Line 6 Variax 700 is a highly versatile, professional-grade modeling electric guitar that digitally replicates the tones of classic electric, acoustic, and eclectic stringed instruments without requiring you to switch guitars or use bulky magnetic hex pickups.

- Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone, and a 5-way pickup selector to switch virtual pickups on the selected model.
- Model Selector: Rotary knob to choose your base instrument, with 10 factory presets and 2 banks for user-created custom configurations.
- Alternate Tunings: Allows on-the-fly digital alternate tunings when connected to Line 6 Workbench software.
Outputs & Power
- Analog Outputs: Standard \(\frac{1}{4} \text{ "}\) guitar output jack.
- Digital I/O: RJ-45 digital interface for direct connectivity with Line 6 amps (like the Vetta II) and POD systems.
- XLR Output: Balanced XLR output (available via the included XPS A/B footswitch) to easily route acoustic models directly into a PA system or acoustic amp.
- Power: Can be powered by 6 AA batteries (12-hour life) or remotely via Line 6 digital cables, the XPS footswitch, or POD units.
