The Sony C-37a is a legendary vintage tube condenser microphone known for its smooth, natural tone, rich midrange, controlled highs, and studio versatility.
This mic is in good condition, especially considering it is 65 years old (built in 1961). It still works and sounds great, and has been kept in climate controlled conditions for as long as I've known about it (about 35 years). This mic has a unique history. It has been passed down to me from by great uncle. I was told it was used in officer's clubs and the USO around Korea, after the war. So, who knows what celebrities have sang on it.
The original wire for the output on the power supply was missing, so that plug has been changed temporarily so that the mic could function with a current XLR connection. The original plug is still included and can be returned to normal upon request of the buyer.
