Guardsman Mellophone – Cleaned and Ready to Play

Vintage Guardsman circular/concert mellophone in lacquered brass, freshly cleaned and greased and in playing condition — all three valves move freely and it holds air. A cool mid-century alto-voice horn with mother-of-pearl valve buttons, an engraved bell, and a trumpet-shank receiver, and it comes with its original vintage shaped case. Honest condition: a well-loved older horn with lacquer wear, light bell scratching, and some cosmetic pitting on the tubing (see photos), none of which affects how it plays. A fun playable curiosity, doubling horn, or striking vintage display piece.
