The RB-250 Mastertone stands as one of the most iconic banjos in Gibson history, carrying forward the legendary Mastertone tradition that helped define bluegrass music. Revered by professional musicians and collectors alike, the RB-250 combines powerful projection, rich tonal complexity, and classic Gibson craftsmanship in a package that is equally at home on stage, in the studio, or at a jam session.

This RB-250 delivers the unmistakable Mastertone sound—strong, punchy lows, crisp highs, excellent note separation, and the cutting projection needed to stand out in any ensemble setting. Whether played with fingerpicks in a traditional bluegrass context or used for folk, country, Americana, and contemporary acoustic music, this banjo offers exceptional responsiveness and dynamic range.

A unique feature of this instrument is the custom inlay work completed by renowned banjo artist and craftsman Cliff Endman, adding a distinctive visual touch that enhances the banjo's character while preserving its traditional appeal.

This banjo comes complete with its Original Hardshell Case (OHSC). The original truss rod cover is missing.

Condition: 9.7/10 - Excellent. Light scratches are present on the back, along with a few small dings on the tip of the back of the headstock. The hardware shows light tarnishing consistent with age and careful use. There are also a few light dings on the top of the headstock. Overall, an exceptionally clean and well-maintained Mastertone banjo.
