Every hit record he’s produced has shared one essential element: the used 1960 Fender hardtail Stratocaster® Nile bought in a Miami music shop. Rarely is a single guitar so inseparably identified with its owner as The Hitmaker. The Hitmaker features a 1960 alder body that is uniquely smaller and more contoured than a typical vintage Strat. 

The beautiful Olympic White lacquer matches the finish Nile sprayed on the guitar himself just after he acquired it in the early days of Chic. The custom ’59-profile one-piece maple neck has a 9.5” radius fingerboard, medium jumbo frets and a satin finish. A “Nile Rodgers & Chic” logo adorns the back of the headstock and a custom Hitmaker logo is stamped into the neck plate. The Nile Rodgers Hitmaker single-coil Strat pickups are voiced to accurately replicate the quack, chime and bell-like clarity of the original Hitmaker. 

Other features include a hard-tail string-through bridge with period-correct bent-steel saddles, an eye-catching mirrored chrome-plated brass pickguard, locking Sperzel® tuners and a set of white speed knobs. The guitar also comes with a vintage-style case with Hitmaker-embroidered interior and a custom certificate of authenticity.

This program ensures that each instrument meets stringent quality standards and provides customers with a peace of mind when buying used Fender gear.

What is a Fender CPO instrument? Each Fender Certified Pre-Owned instrument undergoes a thorough inspection process to ensure it meets Fender’s high standards for quality and playability. Once a CPO instrument passes inspection, it receives a certificate indicating its status as a Fender Certified Pre-Owned instrument and will carry a limited One (1) Year Warranty in partnership with MIRC. This certification assures that the instrument you receive has been vetted by professionals and is ready for performance. 

Warranty - Fender CPO instruments are warrantied in partnership with MIRC for the period of One (1) Year from the date of purchase. This Limited Warranty applies only to the original purchaser when this instrument is purchased from Fender Certified Pre-Owned and is subject to the limitations set forth herein. 

Limitations and exclusions:

The following items are not covered by this Limited Warranty.

1. Fret wear, saddle wear, nut wear, strings and batteries.
2. Checking, shrinking, sinking, discoloration and ware of poly or lacquer finishes.
3. Setups, adjustments or routine maintenance of any kind.
4. Damage to finishes or cracks, splitting, or warpage of wood due to changes in temperature or humidity, exposure to or contact with sunlight, fire, moisture, body salts and acids of perspiration, guitar straps, guitar stands/hangers made from vinyl, plastic, rubber or other synthetic materials, any other chemicals or non-Fender/Squier-approved polishes.
5. Damage, corrosion or rusting of any hardware components caused by humidity, salty air, or exposure to the moisture, body salts and acids of perspiration.
6. Any damage to an Instrument resulting from customization or modification.
7. Normal wear and tear on any part of the Instrument, case or gig bag including jacks, controls, switches, plated surfaces, tuning machines, pickguards, zippers, clasps, handles, latches, case hardware, etc.
8. All other damage and deterioration due to normal usage, wear and tear, aging, accidents, neglect, abuse, or acts of nature.
9. Any Instrument whose serial number is missing, altered or tampered with in any fashion.
10. Any Instrument purchased from anyone other than through the Fender CPO Store.
11. Any Instrument purchased through the Fender CPO Store that has been subsequently resold and is no longer owned by the person or entity that initially purchased the Instrument from the Fender CPO Store.
12. Any defects, damage, blemishes, or other issues identified in the product listing on the Fender CPO Store at the time the Instrument is purchased.
13. Instruments that have been serviced by unauthorized persons (any person other than an MIRC Service Center).

Return Policy - We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your instrument, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. The instrument must be returned in its original condition, including all packaging, accessories, and documentation. If you need to return your instrument, contact us and we will provide you with a return label free of charge. Upon receiving and inspecting the returned instrument, we will promptly process your refund and credit this back to the original form of payment.
