For sale or best offer is a 1995 Gibson Les Paul Special with a Heritage Cherry finish. This single cut Special was not only made during Gibson's renowned "Good Wood Era", but was shipped to Japan for distribution through Yamano Music. Often, Yamano Gibsons were subject to higher standards in build and material qualities to appeal to the Japanese market.
This one is no exception - it's got "it". Its slim 60s neck feels fantastic, with its medium C profile and comfortable shoulders. It has its original P-100 pickups, which are stacked P90s for all the charm and richness, but without the noise. Its finish is wonderfully patina'd, with nicks, dings, matting, and lacquer checking. It has what looks like a repaired area just next to its controls that was grain and finish-matched, and is literally seamless. Assuming this is what happened, it's an impressive job well done. This is a killer guitar with lots of mojo. It weighs 7 lbs, 11 oz.
It has been professionally setup and comes with its original hardshell case and some papers.
