LOCAL PICKUP ONLY! This is a Kalamazoo KG-32 archtop acoustic. The Kalamazoos were the student grade acoustics but were made in the same factory as the Gibsons. The KG-32 was Kalamazoo's top of the line archtop - you can tell by the checked binding on front and plain binding on the back and neck. It's a 1939 based on the EK in the serial (E=1939; K=Kalamazoo.)
It has a wonderful high-mid, bright sound, and it's loud (I have a video of me playing it, which I can share with you if you like.) The neck is a V-shape, which I found very comfortable to play. I have coated 80-20 bronze 10s on it at the moment, and usually keep it tuned to open D or DADGAD. The action at the 12th fret is 2.75 mm on the low E to 2.5 mm on the high E: perfect for fingerstyle. No truss rod. Not much fret wear - I have no idea if it's been refretted at some point. I've owned it for 2 1/2 yrs and I've noodled on it a lot, but never really did anything else with it. Time to pass it on, I think.
It has lots of dings, dents and scratches, and some finish checking - see the photos. The tuning machine on the D-string is bent but serviceable. It holds tune just fine.
It comes with an unbranded lined case. Not sure if it's original, but it's definitely not new and is in about the same shape as the guitar.
