Triage Joe Strummer Tele 2026 - Black Relic'd

Triage Guitar Shop of West Palm Beach Florida occasionally departs from saving Classic guitars to create affordable reproductions of iconic artist guitars.

This Joe Strummer Tribute Telecaster is an example. I have done 4 of these previously, at higher and lower price points.

This one starts with a US Tone Works quality 2 piece Alder body and US Tone Works maple 7.25" radius neck with rosewood fingerboard.

I used Fender and other quality parts including higher output Alnico V pickups,  Wilkinson vintage style 6 saddle bridge, all new full size electronics, orange drop capacitor and Fender style 3-way switch.

I copper foil lined the bridge pickup, control panel and wire run compartments and connected to ground to reduce hum.

Installed sealed inline Gotoh Schaller style tuners

Installed Alnico V 7.0k Bridge pickup and 8.1k tele Neck pickup

Attached neck to the body with a Custom "Revolution Rock" neckplate like on the original.

Installed Joe Strummer's "Trash City" and "Ignore Alien Orders" stickers

Reassembled everything, added new D'Addario Regular light gauge (,010-.046) strings and finished the relic job and checked it out.

Leveled and polished the frets and played every note repeatedly to eliminate dead notes and any fret buzz.

Set action and intonation.

It comes with a hard shell case and case candy including strings, picks, Allen wrench, build certificate and many Joe Strummer pics.
