This is an early DiMarzio Jazz Bass pickup. The first-version replacement that Larry DiMarzio was selling in the mid/late 1970s, before model names and part numbers became a thing.
These are the originals that built the reputation — low wind, quiet, articulate, and widely regarded as sounding better than later versions by players who’ve been down that road. Clear top end, tight lows, and that unmistakable early DiMarzio balance without the modern hype.
Measured right around 6.4kΩ.
Not a reissue. Not modern production. An authentic early one.
