Lollar’s Jazzmaster pickups are legendary in the boutique world. Jazzmaster pickups look like P-90s, but they are built differently: they feature wide, short, flat coils with Alnico pole piece magnets rather than steel screws and bar magnets. This design yields a tone that sits perfectly between Stratocaster chime and Les Paul warmth. I paid £240 for them and had them professional installed into / removed from a Squier 40th anniversary JM, which is listed separately.
