What a cool '55 Strat by Paul Waller! Instruments from this masterbuilder never fail to impress us, consistently offering a perfect blend of looks, playability and sound. This surf green beauty is no exception, featuring subtle relicing — including numerous finish checks, a few dings and worn spots, as well as interesting color shading within the matte finish. Complementing this is the attractively figured AA-flamed maple neck. From the very first note this Stratocaster puts a huge grin on your face. The resonance is absolutely top-notch; it’s incredibly loud even when played unplugged! Fast-playing Medium Jumbo frets, a 9.5" fretboard radius and a slightly stronger (.880"–.980") yet super-comfortable "10/56 V" neck profile ensure excellent playability. The "Josefina Handwound Tomatillo" singlecoils deliver a wonderful, bell-like '50s tone — beautifully balanced, present and clear. They offer plenty of attack, percussiveness and warmth, perfectly replicating the sound of aged AlNiCo 5 magnets from the 1950s. It’s no wonder Josefina is a true pickup legend! We are delighted to offer you this guitar except for minimal signs of use in top condition.
