1965 Hendrix Replica Vintage Strat Blonde Relic Custom Build -Fender AY Pickups

Here we have a Jimi Hendrix style Replica of a 1965 Strat, with the neck beautifully finished by John Coleman and an extremely convincing and aged lightweight swamp ash body.

This is a top quality replica, and not a simple bolt-together. 

Since I bought it, I have had it rewired Hendrix style and a set of pickups from a first run Fender Stratocaster Classic installed - the legendary Abigail Ybarra 'AY' initialled ones. Which sound brilliant, it has to be said.

The neck has a nice C shape and like the body is beautifully finished in proper nitro cellulose and sports medium jumbo frets.

It also comes with a modern Fender hardcase.

This is beautifully put together and plays like an old guitar should, but with the benefit of medium jumbo frets.

Weight is just under 8lbs (according to me standing with and without it on the bathroom scales - scientifically :)

Here is the description from when I bought the guitar...

Neck carve is a little rounded C so not a huge neck but you know you're playing it and it's a nice neck to play. Blonde/aged Olympic white nitro’ finish on the body and good stuff throughout for hardware. Body is a lightweight ash body with lots of checking and dings, a proper veneer ‘65 style rosewood neck with all of the marks and dates you would expect. Trem is decked. Bone nut. The guitar is currently set-up with 11s.

The first releases of these were initialled by Abigail "Abby" Ybarra, a legendary, now-retired master pickup winder for Fender and made under her supervision. Only the neck one is carries her initials, but they are a set.
