More of a higher quality organic type distortion tone compared to other super artificial and compressed amps.
For Brutal Metal No boost needed but can be added to take it over the top.
It wasn't as dry as I read some were saying on different forums and the entire sloppy playing" thing wasn't really a thing. The amp sounds great for any genre.
