The Royer R-121 is one of the most respected ribbon microphones ever made — a modern classic that redefined what ribbon mics could do when it launched and has remained a studio standard ever since. Widely used on electric guitars, brass, and room miking, it delivers the warm, natural character ribbon mics are known for in a compact, road-worthy design that can handle high SPL applications previous ribbons couldn’t touch.
