For sale is a Fender American Jaguar (50th Anniversary model) in Candy Apple Red. I bought it used about a year ago, and I find that I just don't like the floating trem system all that much. It plays great otherwise.
In regards to details of the instrument - everything is original except the bridge. I changed the bridge to a set-height 9.5" radius Mustang bridge because I like the saddles more, but it comes with the original bridge in the case. I have photos of the updated bridge because some of the other pictures are from before I put the new bridge on. It comes with the original case and all of the documentation and case candy as seen in the photos.
All of the electronics work as well. It has the old style of Jaguar controls - individual pickup switches, strangle switch, rhythm circuit - that the new Jaguars don't have. I have no idea why Fender wouldn't put those controls on the new Jaguars; they offer much more control and variety.
The lacquer finish is in great shape. There are some light buckle scratches on the backside, but they don't show up in photos well. You have to kind of tilt the guitar in the light to see them. There are some places on the body where metal and finish come together that the lacquer looks like it chipped out some (backplate, rhythm circuit plate, and vibrato plate. Frets are in great shape (no divots). I recently put a set of 9.5 - 42 gauge strings on it, so it's ready to play.
One unique thing I like about this specific guitar versus other 50th anniversary models I've seen is this one has some light maple figuring on the back of the neck and headstock. You can see it in the photos, but it shows up better when you move it around.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm happy to provide more photos if need be.
