1920s Buescher True Tone Alto Saxophone

Good Condition.

This 1920s Buescher True Tone Alto Saxophone was made in Elkhart, Indiana and serial number 170797 dates production to approximately 1925-1926. It features a silver-plated finish with engraved bell and body details, along with the “True Tone” and “Low Pitch” markings associated with Buescher’s professional saxophones of the era.

The saxophone retains its vintage keywork, wire key guards, and period-correct neck. The instrument was lightly cleaned and tested. It is functional and the keys move freely, though it has not been professionally serviced or evaluated by a technician. Pads show age and wear consistent with a vintage instrument.

The finish shows tarnish, patina, oxidation, and cosmetic wear throughout consistent with age and use. Engraving remains visible on the bell and body. Includes the pictured hard case, neck, mouthpiece, ligature, neck strap, and one reed.
