1997 Squier Jagmaster Vista Series Candy Apple Red 24" Scale 1st Issue MIJ Japan

Everything works as intended. Pickups are not original. Bridge pickup is Seymour Duncan, neck pickup unmarked.

Super fun guitar!

Body has some dings, dents, paint chips, scratches etc. but all electronics work as intended. Pickguard has been cut to accommodate the covered Humbucker pickups. There is a small crack in guard between neck pickup and neck on treble side. There is a piece of wood missing from body where neck pickup meets neck pocket. This does not affect the playability of the guitar.

The 24” scale Maple neck with Rosweood fretboard is super clean and plays great! Frets have some wear but plenty of life left. Neck is straight and truss rod is functional.

No gig bag or case.

“The first Jagmasters appeared in 1996, were marketed under the Vista Series, and made in Japan. The Jagmaster in its original form was made for a period of only two years: 1996 through

1998. The first Japanese Jagmasters had a neck in which the truss rod is adjusted at the bottom of the neck, while the later Japanese models have a 1970s-style 'bullet' truss rod, which is adjusted at the headstock. The original Japanese Jagmasters featured a maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and basswood body.”

Jagmaster
"Blend a Jaguar, Jazzmaster, humbucking pickups, vintage tremolo and a simple tone circuit and you have... the Jagmaster."
