Here is a really nice 2013 Gibson ES-335 from the renowned Memphis factory, and interestingly enough, it's one we sold several years ago and were happy to buy back.
This is a very clean and honest example that has clearly been well cared for over the years. Cosmetically, it shows only a few light surface marks from normal handling, but overall it presents extremely well and remains quite clean.
One thing we particularly like about this guitar is the plain maple top. In a world where figured tops often get all the attention, there's something refreshingly classic about a nice understated ES-335. It has a very authentic vintage-inspired look and is a particularly attractive guitar in person.
The guitar appears to be all original with the exception of an upgraded bone nut, which we consider a very welcome improvement. Everything else remains as it left the Memphis factory.
As many Gibson enthusiasts know, the Memphis factory specialized in ES models, and many players consider these years to be among the best modern production periods for the ES-335. This one certainly lives up to that reputation, with excellent build quality, great resonance, and a very lively feel.
The guitar plays easily with comfortable action and delivers everything you'd want from a good ES-335—warm, articulate cleans, rich midrange, and excellent response when pushed through an amp.
It comes complete with the original brown hardshell case, COA, and original paperwork.
