This 2011 60s tribute is unrecognizable from its original form. It was stripped down from the original goldtop, the back was stained a red mahogany, and was finished in nitrocellulose lacquer and polished to a gloss finish.

The bridge pickup was swapped out for a dimarzio super distortion and the neck P90 was modified with Alnico III magnets to give a more mellow clean tone. The bridge and tailpiece were upgraded to a faber abr-1 bridge and faber stop bar tailpiece to match vintage specs. The reflector knobs have the vintage correct reflectors with a chrome shine to them. The fret inlays were swapped out for mother of pearl. The tuners were swapped out for Schaller M6 tuners. It has bumblebee capacitors, 500k pots, switchcraft toggle switch, and the internals were shielded with copper tape to eliminate any unwanted noise.

I’m only selling this guitar because I‘m replicating these modifications to a Les Paul with the thicker neck and this has the thinner 60s Les paul neck profile. This is a great instrument and if you’re a Boston fan, it is almost identical to the Tom Scholz collectors edition guitar at less than half the cost.
