Up for grabs is a 1987 Charvel Model 5FX a classic late 80s Charvel shred machine built during the brand’s golden era.
The Model 5FX is not your standard model series, no… this is the very rare hum single variant. The standard model 5 has only a single Humbucker in the bridge but this sports a slanted single coil in the neck for all of those strat tones. Only made in limited numbers between 1987-1988 these don’t come up for sale very often and Its easy to see why.
Condition:
Good vintage condition overall. Shows typical cosmetic wear for a guitar of this age small dings, scratches, and light finish wear with no cracks or structural issues. Neck is straight, frets are in solid shape, and electronics work properly. Plays fast and smooth with low action.
