A bit of a cult classic amongst Gibson enthusiasts, the Les Paul Standard Double Cut Plus offers all the tone and sustain of a traditional Les Paul but with a more ergonomic double cutaway design that gives effortless access right up the neck.
This 1998 example is finished in the stunning Amber Sorrento finish and features a beautifully figured flame maple top that absolutely steals the show. The figuring is exceptional, with deep ribbon flame running consistently across the entire top, complemented perfectly by the gold hardware and cream plastics.
These late-'90s Double Cuts have become increasingly sought after over the years thanks to their unique place in Gibson history. Built during a particularly strong era of Gibson production, they combine classic Les Paul warmth and punch with a slightly lighter, more resonant feel than many traditional single-cut models.
The neck is comfortable and fast, the guitar balances beautifully on a strap, and the original Gibson humbuckers deliver everything from rich cleans through to thick, singing lead tones.
A fantastic example of an increasingly collectible Gibson model.
Comes complete with its original Gibson hard case.

Condition
Great condition overall for a guitar approaching 30 years old and clearly one that has been very well cared for throughout its life. There are some light signs of use and age-related cosmetic wear, along with some lacquer imperfections beginning to appear around the headstock area. These are purely cosmetic and surface-level only and do not affect the playability or structural integrity of the instrument. The frets remain in excellent condition and the guitar plays beautifully.
