1978 Greco SA-800 WA Wine Red Fujigen MIJ Vintage Semi-Hollow Guitar Made in Japan

This is a Greco SA-800 WR semi-hollow model in Wine Red.

It is a 345-style copy equipped with a Varitone switch.

Based on the serial number, it appears to have been made in 1978. According to Greco’s catalog at the time, this was one of their higher-end models.

This is a highly sought-after Fujigen-made example. Greco semi-hollow guitars are very popular, so if you have been looking for one, please don’t miss this opportunity!

Body: White sycamore top with built-in maple wood
Neck: Maple
Fingerboard: Ebony (I believe it is striped ebony)
Pickups: PU-2 (There is no stamp, but they are listed as PU-2 in the catalog.)

Weight: Approx. 3.5 kg

As this guitar is 48 years old, it does show clear signs of use. There are scratches, finish cracks, and age-related wear on the parts throughout.

However, the guitar has been fully cleaned and professionally adjusted by a repair technician, including the electronics.

It appears that this guitar originally had gold hardware, but the pickup covers, bridge, tailpiece, and other parts have been replaced with chrome parts. The tuners have also been changed to Kluson-style tuners.

The pickups and wiring assembly appear to be original.

The included case is a hard case that appears to be original. Please note that the case also shows signs of use.
