This EVH Wolfgang is in mint condition and presents like new. There are no scratches, dings, or cosmetic issues to note.
As an experiment, I installed a Seymour Duncan Blackouts preamp on the bridge pickup. Currently, the neck pickup, tone control, and 3-way selector switch have been disconnected. The guitar is fully playable as-is and functions through the bridge pickup only. The Blackouts preamp is a very cool addition that provides a powerful, aggressive sound.
The original electronics and pots are included with the sale. Returning the guitar to completely stock configuration would be a straightforward job for anyone comfortable with a soldering iron and should take approximately 15 minutes. I simply haven't had the time to do it myself.
Like all great Wolfgangs, this guitar plays and sounds fantastic. It comes complete with the original paperwork, case candy, and hardshell case.
To the best of my knowledge, this finish has been discontinued and is becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially in this condition.
