1983 Gibson Les Paul Standard Guitar Trader ’59 Reissue, Cherry Sunburst, 1 of 47, Gruhn Appraised
Description
One of the rarest Gibson Les Pauls of its era, fully authenticated and appraised by Gruhn Guitars.
In 1982, the Guitar Trader Company of Red Bank, New Jersey partnered with Gibson to build an accurate reissue of the 1959 Les Paul Standard, years before Gibson’s own Historic program existed. From 1982 to 1985, Gibson produced only one prototype and forty-seven production examples. This instrument is one of just forty-four built as 1959 reissues.
Gruhn Guitars has examined and certified this guitar as a genuine Gibson Les Paul Standard Guitar Trader 1959 Reissue, made in 1983. The signed Gruhn written appraisal conveys with the sale, along with the original 1984 dealer letter and receipt.
