Purchased used approximately 1989 from The Plant Studios, Sausalito, CA. I had my choice of 4 or 5 plates which were being decommissioned to make way for digital reverbs and more space in the machine rooms. After speaking with engineers who worked there in the 70s I was advised which plate was the smoothest and best sounding. I was informed this plate was used by Aretha Franklin and others and was the most beautiful for my application , however I have no documentation to authenticate. The plate was installed in my San Francisco home studio and subsequently moved to San Francisco, Different Fur studios until I relocated out of the Bay Area and moved it to a friend's newly designed and built Russ Berger studio outside of Portland, OR where it is currently installed and operational. The plate was professional installed and calibrated along with updated capacitors, new clips and tubes and has not been moved since the 1992 installation.  Additionally, Original EMT manual, spare clips and springs provided, see photos.

Upon pre-purchase review and approval, the plate is available to test in a fully functioning, professional, world class studio east of Portland in the Mt. Hood watershed.

Pre-purchase review requires a voice and/or video call interview to ensure buyer accuracy and privacy of studio owner.

This is a delicate instrument, careful attention must be paid to shipment preperation and subsequent handling.If you are not local, I strongly recommend enlisting a local representative to manage the move. Purchaser will be responsible for all moving logistics and fees.
