For sale is a 1966 Guild Mark II classical guitar, a vintage USA-made nylon-string from Guild’s highly respected Hobhoken NJ period. The Mark II features the traditional spruce soundboard, with a mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, slotted headstock, and a warm, open nylon-string voice.

This is a great folk/classical crossover instrument — comfortable for fingerstyle, songwriting, recording, and relaxed classical playing. It has much more vintage character than a modern entry-level classical, with the dry, woody tone you’d expect from a nearly 60-year-old instrument.

The guitar is in very good condition, especially when you consider it's age. The only blemish to note is a spot of wear on the back of the neck. The guitar is structurally sound with a straight neck, and correct classical action. String height sits at about 2.75mm on the high E string, and 3.5mm on the low E.

A fantastic vintage classical for any player or collector. A hard to find example from Guild's Hobhoken production facility. Please see pictures for condition, and don't hesitate to ask any questions that come up.

Thanks!
