Here is a very cool vintage 1980’s FujiGen built Fender 62' RI Telecaster (TL62B) in Piano Black finish. This was Fender Japan’s top of the line Tele. It features all the good stuff. Double bound, alder body, dark rosewood 7.25 radius fretboard and heaps of vintage mojo. It’s pencil dated under the clearcoat on the neck heel (exact build date 15th Nov ‘86) and is from back when Fender stamped the neckplates on their ’62 Telecasters. The double body binding has aged beautifully on this Tele, having naturally faded to a deep dark vintage yellow over the decades, it looks superb against the Piano Black body (just check the pics, you wont see a cooler looking Fender Tele). It plays great too, nice action with plenty of bite & twang if you want it courtesy of the 3 saddles. It has a matching black pickguard, 3 spiral saddles, Fender A-Serial stamped bridge plate and TL vintage pups. Weight 3.8kg. No issues either electrically or structurally. Neck fine, the frets showing some string pitting but plenty of life in them, truss rod is fine. The serial number has been erased at some point at its history. Being from 1986 it is obviously not new with plenty of scuffs and bumps all over. It's vintage and it looks it. Nothing bad has ever happened to it, no breaks/repairs etc, just all the good ageing and none of the bad. The FujiGen poly looks and feels very thin, with you often find on these mid 80’s Teles, it adds to the resonance of this guitar & also looks pretty cool. Complete with Fender branded softcase. Don't miss it, once it’s gone it’s gone.
