Personal Thoughts:
This is a really cool Xotic and a great example of why these California Classic models have such a strong following. The Blue Sparkle finish gives it loads of character straight away, but the medium relic treatment stops it from feeling too flashy and gives it a more broken-in, usable sort of appeal. The updated spec is strong too. Alder body, roasted 5A maple neck and board, Jescar 57110 fretwire and vintage-style hardware is a very smart combination, and it should make for a guitar that feels snappy, slick and lively in the hand while still keeping that familiar S-style response. The RV-60 set is another big plus, as that should keep the guitar rooted in a slightly fuller, more muscular vintage-inspired single-coil lane. A very attractive USA-built S-style with plenty of visual personality.
