Personal Thoughts:
This is a really cool Murphy Lab piece and one of the more distinctive Gibson semi-hollows from the current Custom Shop range. The Trini Lopez model already has loads of identity thanks to the diamond f-holes, split diamond board inlays and that unique trapeze setup, so it always feels a bit more special than a standard ES-style guitar. In ebony with the Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged treatment, it has a really classy, understated look as well. I also think the spec is spot on. The maple / poplar body construction, solid maple centerblock and Custombucker Alnico III set should give it plenty of clarity, snap and openness, while the long tenon mahogany neck and rosewood board keep it feeling substantial and properly high end. A very stylish and very collectible Custom Shop Gibson.
Condition Report:
Mint condition. Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged finish is factory correct as part of the original spec. Presents exceptionally well overall, with no noteworthy wear to mention.
