1974 Gibson Les Paul Signature Bass, Gold finish in very good condition. Maple top, walnut back and sides, 3-piece maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. This bass is all original, supplied in a modern Epiphone case.
The finish is in great condition with only minor playwear. There are a few tiny dings and small scuffs, mainly around the edges of the body, but also around the headstock. Everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs. The neck and fretboard are very clean. The neck is straight, and the action is nice and low. The frets are in great shape, and the truss rod is fully functioning.
The controls are volume/tone/3-way switch. The switch is a level control, designed to match the bass tone with different amplifiers: the three settings were 50 (strongest signal, heaviest bass), 200 (increases upper midrange and treble frequencies, reducing fundamental) and 500 (maximum treble and reduced fundamental characteristics)
Fully set up in our workshop with a set of D'Addario 45-100 flatwound strings. Serial: 398315. Nut width 41.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22 mm. Weight: 8 lbs 8.5 oz / 3.87 kg.
