Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003

Here we have a 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard in classic Wine Red that is the definition of a road-seasoned, great-feeling player's guitar. Over its 22 years of use, it has developed moderate cosmetic wear-the kind that tells its story without compromising structure or performance. The body and top show the expected dings, bumps, and rubs, all purely cosmetic and full of character. The gold hardware has gracefully faded, giving the guitar a rich vintage faded gold platina that perfectly complements its deep red finish.

One of the standout features of this instrument is the custom-shaped neck, refinished by a previous owner. The lower cowboy chord area has been gently reshaped into a comfortable soft-V profile, transitioning smoothly at the mid point of the neck into the original, Slim 60s taper. We refinished exposed wood with a few layers of True Oil and gunstock wax, resulting in a beautifully broken-in, satin feel.

It's exceptionally smooth-perfect for speed shredders, and ideal for those with smaller hands who appreciate a slim profile.

This Les Paul has aged naturally into an instrument that feels broken-in, resonant, and familiar the moment you pick it up-a true player's guitar with tons of mojo, definitely not a case queen. The action is set very low to 3/64" on both the bass and treble sides with no buzzing, and the intonation is spot on up and down the neck. The truss rod operates as new, and all of the electronics work perfectlv. This guitar is ready to go straight out of the case.
