Light, bright, fast, articulate, and fun...everything a high-end performance grade ukulele should be. The Chinese craftsmanship is second to none, as many reviewers have noted. This sweetheart has been carefully played and properly humidified.
Pepe Romero chose pau ferro because it is generally brighter and has a snappier tone than Brazilian rosewood, and is considered a more ecological alternative. Its brightness is balanced by the solid cedar top, which is slightly more mellow than spruce. All in all, it presents a splendid mix of superb ukulele tone.
Note: the final photo shows a natural pao ferro variation, not a flaw. Includes Romero
padded gig bag.
