I am offering a Korg Z1, an absolute milestone in digital synthesis history from the late 1990s. While Korg dominated the era with sample-based workstations, the Z1 was their ultimate, uncompromising statement in cutting-edge DSP technology, powered by Korg’s legendary MOSS (Multi-Oscillator Synthesis System) engine—the very same technology found in the iconic OASYS and Prophecy.

Rather than relying on static recordings, the Z1 uses advanced mathematical physical modeling to simulate physical components in real time. It features 13 different oscillator models, including standard analog modeling, brass, reed, plucked string, bowed string, organ, and electric piano simulations. Because it models physical reality, it reacts organically to your playing—producing screaming leads, deep acoustic textures, crystalline pads, and complex, fluid digital textures that feel truly alive.

Technically, this Korg Z1 is in excellent operational condition. These deep digital synths require careful checking to ensure the internal digital routing and control matrices perform reliably. This unit has been thoroughly tested, and all 12 voices of polyphony turn on flawlessly. Every single rotary pot, button, the pitch/mod wheels, and the highly expressive X-Y Touchpad controller respond with perfect precision. Optically, the synthesizer is very well-preserved, exhibiting only normal, light signs of use from careful handling over the years, maintaining a magnificent studio presence.
