MJT Relic ’62 Stratocaster Build. Fender MIM Neck, Japanese Fender electronics, Japanese fender 60s style pickups, vintage style hardware
This is a genuinely such a cool looking guitar and it plays great. I’ve gigged heavily and recorded with it so it’s capable of a lot. The MJT body is finished in a relatively light relic with most of the aging on the back and bottom, but the lacquer checking on this one is beautiful, and the subtle relic basically gets the job started and allows you to tell your own story with it :)
Specs:
MJT relic body
Fender MIM 60s neck — rosewood fretboard, vintage style tuners
3 Japanese Fender 60s single coil pickups
Vintage style Fender bridge/tremolo system
Period correct, vintage style hardware throughout
One thing to know: The neck sits slightly off-center in the pocket — there’s a small gap on the left side — and sits a touch low, which limits how high you can raise the pickups before the magnets interact with the strings. I want to be upfront about it. It never affected playability for me, I gigged this guitar hard and it held up great, but it’s worth knowing and is reflected in the price.
Please message me with any questions or concerns :)
