Schecter absolutely nailed the “hot-rodded T-style shred machine” vibe with this Sun Valley Super Shredder PT FR in Sea Foam Green. If you’re looking for a fast, modern guitar with a Floyd that stays in tune and pickups that cover everything from tight rhythm to infinite-sustain leads, this one delivers.
This PT FR features a solid mahogany body with a gloss Sea Foam Green finish and black pickguard, giving it that classic-meets-modern look with plenty of stage presence. The bolt-on maple neck has a Thin C profile and a 14” radius maple fingerboard with 22 extra-jumbo frets, so it feels fast and effortless for legato, tapping, and wide bends. Scale length is 25.5” with a 1.625” nut width, so it will feel familiar if you’re used to modern superstrats.
Electronics are where this thing gets wild: EMG Retro Active Hot 70 bridge humbucker for high-output clarity and punch, paired with a Sustainiac driver in the neck for near-infinite sustain and feedback-on-command. Controls are simple and intuitive: two volume knobs, a 3-way pickup selector, plus a Sustainiac on/off toggle and a 3-way Sustainiac mode switch for different sustain/lead textures.
Hardware is rock solid: Floyd Rose Special Hot Rod double-locking tremolo, locking nut, and Schecter tuners for excellent tuning stability even with aggressive whammy use. Factory spec is .009–.046 Ernie Ball Slinkys.
Custom Setup by pro luthier. Plays like a dream!
