These current Gretsch's are better made than the originals from '59.
I consider this guitar to be in excellent condition. No damage at all. No mods. Still has the factory strings. It takes a special player to really love these beauties.
TV Jones Ray Butts pickups. They are un-potted and sound exactly like the originals.
Stays in tune even with heavy Bigsby use.
Ebony fretboard. Medium jumbo fret wire with little to no wear.
Very lightweight. Hot and chimey tones in any configuration.
The only issue is I couldn't remove all the paper they place under the pined bridge. It's pictured.
The case is in excellent condition and still has that new smell. All case candy and paper work is included.
These are playable right out of the box so I have never had any kind of a set up done. It may feel different for you. However, these are seriously great guitars and someone is going to get a great deal.
And no odors because I don't stink or smoke. Works well with pedals.
