Here‘s a chance to own one of the iconic Selmer Super Balanced Action tenors from the 1950s! This was made in France in 1951 — it’s got the original neck (no damage or pulldown) with a serial number 42626, which matches the one on the body tube.

It was apparently re-lacquered long ago, and sometime after that, the lacquer was stripped off. Result: an SBA with a big lively tone and commanding presence! Excellent intonation too.

Plays great right now but it will need a visit to the tech for check/oil/adjust love soon.
