For sale I have a 1962 Gibson b45-12 sting guitar in very good condition. This 12 String was constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and a Brazilian rosewood bridge. The neck measures 2" at the nut, has 0.87" depth at the first fret, and a 0.91 depth at the tenth fret. The guitar has a 24 3/4" scale. This is the rarest version of the B-45-12, made only for a brief period in 1961 and early 1962, that features both a slope shouldered body and a pin bridge. This Gibson 12 string is more lightly constructed than the late, heavily braced square shouldered versions. There are a couple of small cracks that have been repaired prior to my ownership, and the repairs are stable. This guitar records beautifully. It’s the same model that was used by Gordon Lightfoot on “Sundown”—that’s pretty much the sound. Ships with a quality hardshell case. Feel free to ask questions and I’ll answer as soon as I can—thanks!
