Vintage Boss BF-2 Flanger, Made in Japan, black-knob version, serial number 10000. Tested and working — all controls and switching function as intended.
The BF-2 is one of the genuine industry-standard analog flangers — a BBD-based circuit that runs from subtle modulation and doubling through lush chorus-like shimmer to the full metallic, jet-engine sweep. Four controls (Manual, Depth, Rate, Resonance) cover the whole range. Introduced in 1980 and produced in Japan until production shifted to Taiwan around 1990; the MIJ black-knob units are the ones players and collectors seek out for their warm, musical character and tank-like build.
